The Ladies Alter Society is a fellowship of women of St. Andrew Parish dedicated to the cleaning and upkeep of the alter, sacristy and church as a whole.  We have quarterly meetings held at the rectory.   Over the years, the LAS has branched into othere areas of our church community to include the following contributions to St. Andrew Church:
 
Preparing and delivering food to bereaved families of our parish after funerals.
 
Making of baptismal clothes.
 
Making and distributing prayer blankets.
 
Hosting receptions for our First Communion and Confirmations students, which is open to all parishioners.
 
Decorating the church for Christmas and Easter.
 
Feeding our shut-ins through out the area as a tribute to St. Andrew on his feast day.
 
Complete cleaning of the church twice yearly to include: pews, kneelers, stained glass windows and those in the back of the church.
 
Purchasing and maintaining the relegious article case.
 
Replenishing,maintaining, and cleaning the votive candles in the vestabule in the back of the church.
 
Annual rosery offering during hurricane season. All parishoners are encouraged to participate and the final count is offered at a designated LAS mass.
 
We host a complimentary dessert table and bingo game on Family Fun Day.
 
We hold bake sales throughout the year to raise funds to be used towards the continued refurnishing of the alter needs and that of our parish on a "as needed" bases.
